[Philmont]: Other options

Hello everybody,

I haven't really been following this list terribly heavily over the past few
months, in addition to my high adventure duties, I also have a district
executive's membership duties, so that's been a priority for the last few
months. I didn't realize that confirmation for 2005 was out this week - it
occurs to me that means that quite a few people may be disappointed without
a trek.

Please don't let that keep you from doing a trip in '05!!!

Here are some of my favorite alternatives that tend to have space in them:

-Northern Tier - www.ntier.org - canoeing in Northern MN and Canada is an
amazing experience

-Chisholm Trail Adventure - Lornhorn Council, TX - this looks like a hoot!

-everything that the Denver Area Council has looks good

-one of the Utah council's runs the Teton base, which looks incredibly cool

-the Greater Toronto Council Runs the Haliburton Scout Reserve, which is
getting into doing some canoe tripping in Algonquin Park

-Impeesa Extreme still has room for 04 and 05 (didn't think I'd let that one
slip away, did ya?)

Any others out there?

Cheers

Mike
