Four Scouts from our troop have attended NJLIC. Two have served on staff.

NJLIC is based at the Rocky Mountain Scout Camp on the road to Lovers
Leap. A great view of the Tooth of Time from RMSC. Participants also
spend a couple of days at the Philmont Training Center.

Participants are busy, busy, busy. The goal is to prepare them to return
home and serve in positions of leadership in their week long council JLT
courses.

>From the PTC's 2004 conference description flyer:

NJLIC is the ultimate in training experiences for youth leaders. It is
conducted for older Scouts who have the potential for being on the staff
of the council junior leader training conference. Qualifications are:
First Class rank or higher, 14 years of age by opening day of course, but
not yet 18, completion of Council JLT course, willingness to become a
junior leader for the local council, proficiency in Scouting skills, and
meets Philmont's Level A physical requirements.

The feedback I've received is that NJLIC is the BSA's best training course
for Scouts.
