We took the cheapest way we could, final price was $850 per scout. This
included one T shirt (scouts bought 2 additional for $15) and a train ride
from Ft. Madison, IA to Raton and the Philmont bus there and back ($20 per
scout). Most of our scouts simple could not afford much more. And, since
we do a high adventure trip each summer, many were considering "where we
goin' next year??". The pricing was considered "total cost" and includes
about $100 per scout for their own spending money. We were pretty happy
with the package we were able to offer our scouts.
