The two times I have been to Philmont, we went straight there on the train
and back. Another troop from San Diego makes a BIG triip out of it. They
are gone for over 3 weeks.

Monument Valley, Arizona (lots of movies were filmed here)

LAS Vegas, Nevada (and a Hotel stay)
They camp or stay at alot of military bases, except the last night in Las
Vegas.
