Our troop got turned on to ALPS gear a few years ago, and no one has been
disappointed yet. I used a Taurus 2 tent last summer in pouring rain that
lasted for nearly a day and styed perfectly dry. And don't forget about the
ALPS integral pack cover -- stowed in it's own pocket at the bottom of most
ALPS packs -- that's another $25 you just saved.
