Like most of us, I have been thinking about the relentless assault on
the BSA of late. Last week, it hit me - the addition of ONE word to the
Scout Oath *might* stop at least some of the attacks.
Try this...
...........I will do my best to do my duty to MY God and my
country........
Is that not what we really mean anyway? With the addition of that one
word, the interpretation is up to the individual. In my opinion, if a
person can make that oath, they meet the criteria.
Please, please please, let's not have a 3G debate. Let's keep comments
on topic - the addition of one little word to the Oath.
