Rsafl61660@aol.com asks ...
I've heard Polar Pure is not an option this summer. Does that mean we have
to bring our own, or are they gonna even allow it brought in?
Comment...
It is my understanding that no decision has been made yet on Polar Pure for
next summer, and may not be made for several months. On our Autumn
Adventure we were issued Micropur (chlorine tablets) to "field test" in
addition to Polar Pure. I believe that other AA crews were "field testing"
the MIOX system.
Whatever the decision by Philmont is, I would doubt that they will ban crews
from carrying Polar Pure, if that is there choice. And I also doubt that
they will do nothing and leave the decision on what method of water
purification to use completely up to the crews.
