There was no significant quality difference that I could tell in the
standard belt buckle when I last went in 2002. There are more styles
now than there used to be. As far as "collectable" goes, I think a
1970's era belt buckle goes for between $3.00 and $5.00 on ebay and by
the various Scout Traders.

You cannot buy replacement patches from Philmont - though they may
replace one if you have a sad enough story (abducted by aliens, etc.)
However, in one of the sadder aspects of Philmont, Arrowheads are
regularly sold on ebay and by Scout Traders, for $15.00 - $25.00 for the
standard version. Specialty versions can go for much higher.
