Look into the availability of a Powder Horn course near you. Good
opportunity to learn a little bit about a lot of "high" and "medium" adventure
programs suitable for older scouts and venturers.
 
New BSA SCUBA program might be of interest if you're near some clear water,
have the interest and the budget. Spend a weekend getting a group trained in
Wilderness First Aid -- available from Red Cross, SOLO, and Wilderness
Medical Associates to name just 3 of the organizations offering that program. Etc.
