Wood badge staff, gave out the broom stick staffs, WITH INSTRUCTIONS for one

Closet rod? I would think that would be rather heavy, wouldn't it? I can't
imagine the
trouble that would be, even gripping such a big rod to carry would be a
pain.
WHen I've seen people use hiking staffs on the trail, they tend to be
broom-stick
sized. Gee, closet rod is what, about 1.25 inch diameter?
Do you really use a big fat closet rod for your hiking staff? Wow. I'd
think on a
really long trek, like PHilmont, that extra weight and more difficult grip
might tend to
get to be a bit much. OTOH, if you are used to it, go for it.
