Re: [Philmont]: Re: Arrival date- departure date

In both 2002 and 2005 our day 1 fell on a Wednesday and day 12 fell on a
Sunday. For each trek, the adults all took 2 weeks + 1 day off from work.
We departed home on the Saturday before day 1 and did some pre-Philmont
activities including an acclimation hike at the Taos Ski Valley. We
returned home on "day 13" which was a Monday (it helps to only be ~550 miles
from Philmont).

If the adults want to go to Philmont, they will make the time... I took an
unpaid leave of absence in 2000 to fill in for another advisor that had to
drop out at the last minute. I'd do it again tomorrow if it got us
reservations...
