Re: [Philmont]: Trail down the tooth

I was glad to take the trail down from the tooth. I took a whole bunch of pictures of every different kind of cactus and wildflower that I came across. This way when "she who must be obeyed" asked what I brought her besides dirty laundry I could say "Flowers"!.

My advice is to enjoy every step that you can, look at everything along the way. It may be a once in a lifetime memory or something to inspire you to return.

Happy trails to you.

Might well be.  It did not come out right at Stockade - it was closer to the highway.

I totally agree.  It's a time for pictures and catching your breath before entering base camp and those pictures will carry memories for a lifetime.
