We hit the Cantina at Ponil on trail day 3 of trek 32. Was a highlight
for our co-ed crew. They rehydrated with root beer, played games and
visited and sang along with the musicians at the floor show. It was a
really great way for them to really bond. Since it was raining they
held the evening "Thorns and Roses" in the cantina dogtrot and then held
a late evening sing-along with some of the night owl staffers. It was
probably our latest night out on the trail. Day three worked great for us.
Harlan was a real treat with the shotgun trap range, burro racing (you
just need to participate!) and athletic prowess tests in the reloading
shed. One of our young ladies set six or seven records doing inverted
situps and curls with weights (bags of shot).
If you have a chance for either of these activities I highly recommend them.
