[philmont] Philmont 2008

Alas,

Again my troop has failed to gain a trek. We have been trying since 1999 without success. Our troop basically backpacks so I feel bad for the youth. This was my own son's last chance before aging out (and perhaps mine). Perhaps, it just was not to be. It does not appear to any of us that the system is fair nor equitable despite being part of the scouting movement.
