[philmont] Philmont 2008

Crew 2006 from the Denver Area Council (and established just four months
ago!) was fortunate to get 2 treks leaving in early August. I guess
sometimes you can be lucky! This crew is composed of staff and staff
alumni from our local council camp, Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch. They
leave in early August on one of the last 10 day treks that season, as it
was important that their trek start after the summer camping season at PVSR
was complete. These youth will go from spending 10 weeks sleeping in tents
at PVSR to a trek at Philmont with only 2 days in-between! While I won't
be going to Philmont with them in 2008 (unless an advisor emergency
arises), my daughter is planning to go on her third trek in five years.
