[philmont] 2008 Treks

PSR's official position for 2007 is at www.troop6bsa.org?cmd=philsearch then
click on mailing list attachments. There are several courses identified
that meet PSR's standard and that may already be available in your geography
... or not.

This is a prime question to ask your council HA chairman to respond to and a
service that they should offer all potential crews ... be they council
contingents going to Philmont, inidividual Troops/Crews going to Philmont or
a unit taking a "non-traditional" HA trip.

Greetings All,

Just a gentle reminder for all the lucky folks that have a slot in 2008;
Philmont relaxed the Wilderness First Aid requirement for 2007, in part
due to a lack of training opportunities. Now might be a good time to be
proactive and start looking for resources in the event that they do
require WFA training for 2008. Even if its not required, it is a great
resource and still qualifies under the "old" requirements.

Happy Trails,

Roy Fisher
