Just a suggestion or two on where to find WFA courses. If there is a local hiking, outdoor or backpacking/trail maintenance org, check to see if they offer one. I've taken one offered through the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club here on the East Coast. You may have a similar orgainization in your area. Also, chech with your local Girl Scout council. The first course in WFA I ever took was offered thru my local GS council. That;s how my Venturers are completing their first aid elective.

Seems odd that the only southern California listing is in
Santa Monica. Anyone have pointers to places more southerly?
Santa Monica is quite a bit of a drive through rather nasty
traffic at any time other than 3am.
My son wants to take a first aid course for Venturing Ranger
anyway, seems like a good fit.
