I don't think that's correct, because you are only on the wait list three
years. The wording in the registration instructions is "have officially
been on the waiting list for the past four years". I guess the question is,
"does the year of ineligiblity following a trek year count as being on the
wait list"? I would say no.

That is why I said in my earlier post, "if you attend in year x, you aren't
in the high priority group until year x+6." This is assuming you actually
apply and get wait listed all four years.
