Easton aluminum has good tent stakes. Been all over with me for years. They
come with a harder aluminum head for pounding with a loop to loop a piece of
perlon through. I also wrap a piece of reflective tape around the top to
spot them. REI has gold ones
(http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8000

&catalogId=40000008000&productId=290&parent_category_rn=4500663) Extremely
lightweight and I have never bent one. In sandy areas I use plastic tent
stakes.
Sterling rope makes a reflective line for tents. You can then see the
stakes and the line at night and not trip over them. Little bright
sometimes, but I have loved that line in the middle of whiteouts coming off
a mountain. Means I found home.
