Agree, surcharging for credit card use is prohibited.
Some/many vendors go the other direction. They base their product pricing on
"anticipated" use of a credit card and may offer a discount for cash, if
asked.
I have asked for a "cash discount" and have gotten both a yes and no answer.
A request for a "discount for cash" is more applicable on higher priced
items, where the credit card surcharge use fee could amount to more than a few
pennies.
Not sure that this has application for Philmont; but it is an accepted way
for a business to deal with the credit card usage fee.
