Dennis,
It is packaged in individual packs. No worries.

Subject: [Philmont] Question on jerky
On one of our training hikes this fall we experimented with various methods of splitting up 4 oz bags of jerky amongst the crew. To say the least, everything we tried was just plain ugly and messy. How is jerky packaged at Philmont? And if it's packaged in less than individual servings, what's the best way to share it?
Thanks
Dennis Careri
