We did something similar. Each Scout could vote for five activities, and we
ranked the activities by the number of votes received. Then the Scouts
(adults did not have a vote, or a role in trek selection) compared the trek
activities to the list and made their choices. As a young crew, they already
had decided to look only at "Typical" treks.
