Troop 377's did our shakedowns on the Appalachian trail in Schyulkill and Berks Counties. We did a Dayhike to the Pinnacle (nine miles) and 2 overnites route 901 to 183 and route 61 to rt183. Route 61 to 183 features the "wall at Port Clinton" a thousand f
oot up in about your first mile, a wonderful motivator for alot of us to redouble our physical fitness.
