Most of the camping sites at Porcupine are along the trail. This trail is
heavily used by burros and horses, which generate you-know-what, and this
leads to flies. In 2000 we camped too close to the trail and found the
flies to be a problem. Wish we had looked at all of the camps at Porcupine
before selecting the one we did, because there are a couple of really nice
ones, away from the trail.
Did not have any memorable problems the rest of the trek.
