The TREKS books have rough maps of each of the itineraries plus charts showing
elevation changes. You can use that in conjunction with your Philmont wall map
to get an idea of what each day's hike is like. Another option is the Philmont
Interactive Ranger CD (available from the Tooth of Time Traders) which has the
topo maps with the trails for each trek highlighted
