Stoves are allowed on buses but fuel residue needs to be
removed. Empty all the fuel you can. Then set the stoves
and fuel bottles outside in the sun and the remaining
fuel will evaporate.
When I asked the question to Coach USA last summer when
preparing for a motorcoach trip to Virginia, I was
told fuel (including propane) was not allowed on buses.
The "white gas" type fuel available at Philmont is often
not of high quality so be sure to take a fuel filter to
use when filling stoves and fuel bottles.
