One of my poles has a plastic type grip the other cork. I've not had any
problems with sweating or the the handle feeling uncomfortable with either
grip. I suppose this is another matter of personal preference, but to me it
has made no difference. - Signe Rogers
 
BTW - both of my poles, tho made by different companies are now a matched
set, each bearing one of the Philmont brands from the backcountry!
