Dave Edelman's post raises a very good question - why is it that some
people hate Philmont? Not a topic we touch on too often here, where
most everyone is either a Philmont Phanatic or a novice looking for
information and advice. But perhaps some valuable pointers can come out
of an examination of this issue/problem - that is, if we can see where
some peoples' experiences went down the toilet, perhaps we can avoid
similar pitfalls ourselves.
I have plenty of thoughts on this matter, but I suspect nearly everyone
on the list would know most of them already, from past posts. So I will
let others set the stage. Thoughts?
