RE: [Philmont]: Columbia astronauts, et al

I don't wish to appear insensitive to the contribution of our freedoms and
explorations by the men who have been scouts. Quite the contrary, as a mom
of a young man who has made his commitment to the US Army for the next **
years of his life as he completes ROTC & serves, and as "mom" to numerous
scouts who are already activated and were sent to fight in Afghanistan, or
are now in Kuwait waiting, or headed to Korea, or..... I find enough daily
reminders of the perils they are facing, and the fear that some of them
might not come home.

I really would like to just get back to Philmont here and have one small
part of my daily life where my motherly fears aren't staring me in the face.
- Please? Can we drop this subject??
