Love the Dragonfly, but they are pricy.
I have seen a number of home-made backpacking stoves (made from catfood
cans and using mostly alcohol as a fuel). Very clever. (Look at the one
made from an Altoids tin.)
Here is a link to one (and some good links selsewhere on this site, like
making tarps).
Can a troop take a few stoves like this or are they forbidden? What about
using alcohol instead of regular camp fuel?
