Unless it's an obvious safety hazard, or is clearly inadequate to do the
job of cooking for an entire Crew, I doubt if Philmont will care what
stoves you bring. However, (to my knowledge) alcohol is not sold at
Basecamp or any backcountry commissary, meaning you would have to carry
an adequate supply for the entire trek from Basecamp. And getting it
*TO* Basecamp is also going to be a chore if you're flying.
