Our troop uses the readily available APEX stoves, that are made for multi
fuels. They are simple, and easy to use. We use them year round for
backpacking trips. Keep in mind what types of fuel is available in the
backcountry, and make sure all liquid fuel is run through your fuel filter.

Mosy important : follow signe's simple rule. Use your equipment before your
trek. Make lots of shakedown trips. Day four on your trek is not a good day
to find out you don't like your stove, raingear, or sleeping bag....etc.
