We did fine last time we went by having the members submit rough sketches
and then taking a vote.
I think a stumbling block is often that boys may have a good idea but not
much artistic ability. As a result, they may be afraid to submit an idea.
Depending on who's producing your T-shirts, however, you may be able to take
them a very rough sketch and have their staff artist clean it up.

Subject: [Philmont]: Crew t-shirts
Is it just our troop, or do other crews have scouts that are unable to come
up with appropriate designs for a crew t-shirt? I have been asking the
crew leader for a design since December. The crew set assign some time at
last troop meeting. The result was the same as in 1998. All designs were
stupid, juvenile or just inappropriate.
