230 pm mst thu feb 27 2003 ...snow increasing tonight through friday for
much of west central and north central new mexico... .increasing snow is
still expected across much of northern and western new mexico tonight
through friday as the main part of a strong upper level storm system
passes over the state. the bulk of the snowfall from this system will
come overnight with lingering effects seen across the north and west on
friday. motorists traveling near and through the advisory and warning
areas should expect possible delays and increasing travel difficulties
along interstate 40 west of albuquerque and along interstate 25 from
raton to santa fe. listen to noaa weather radio and to your local radio
or television stations for additional information and forecast updates.
central high plains/estancia valley-far northeast plains- harding
county-northeast highlands-sandia/manzano mountains- 230 pm mst thu feb
27 2003 ...snow advisory tonight through friday for the central
mountains and northeast quarter of new mexico including
raton...clayton...las vegas...and east mountain communities of the
sandia and manzano mountains... snow accumulations tonight will range
between 3 to 5 inches above 7500 feet in both the sandia and manzano
mountains. snow of 1 to 3 inches is expected at the lower elevations and
also across the northeast highlands and far northeast plains. by
friday...storm total accumulations of 4 to 8 inches can be expected
above 7500 feet with 2 to 4 inches generally expected at the lower
elevations
