I understand that white gas is available for purchase at the Philmont
commissary stops. How is this dispensed? Do they just fill your fuel
bottles and charge by the ounce, or sell in pre-determined quantities?
If propoane/butane/isobutane stoves are used, what fuel is available at
Philmont? For these stoves, there seems to be at least two fuel bottle
configuration. One where the stove directly screws onto the cannister,
and one where the stove connects via a fuel line to a cannister. Not to
mention that there are different fuel mixtures. Does Philmont sell only
one type/size, or multiple types/sizes?
Thanks,
Randy Redmon
