I am a little ticked. Actually I am steaming. After digging for a couple of
hours and making some phone calls I got information for the list on
overnight stays and rafting. The information for the raft trip said a Class
III river trip.
I just got a call from the owner of the raft company that one of you pseudo
Scouts had called and complained because the owner would not honor the price
for a Royal Gorge river trip WHICH IS A CLASS IV RIVER TRIP.
THANKS FOR TAKING THE INFORMATION AND FOLLOWING THE BASIC PREMISES OF THE
BOY SCOUTS IN TRYING TO RIP OFF ANOTHER SCOUT AFTER HE HAD DONE YOU A FAVOR.
After working as a guide for this company we decided not to offer Royal
Gorge or class IV river trips to Scouts because they rarely had what it
takes to handle the trip. It was a safety issue.
IF YOU WANT TO RIP PEOPLE OFF GET OFF THIS LIST AND GET OUT OF SCOUTING
