Type aluminum pots cooking health concerns into Google, and you will
get a number of hits on this exact topic.
However, from a practical point of view, I have to say that I strongly
doubt whether Scout use of aluminum cook-kits is any real concern for
the vast majority of people. This issue appears to be confined to
people who cook extensively on aluminum, for extended durations (i.e.,
many years). Let's face it, if cooking on aluminum was that much of a
problem, half of America would be in the hospital. There are far more
salient health and safety issues to be concerned about re Scout cooking;
IMNSHO, this one is way below the radar screen.
