[Philmont]: Camp shoes

Sorry, forget to finish a thought about the enclosed toe "shandals"

In the meantime, there was one other thought posted - that you need to
have an emergency pair of footwear. My thought on this is that Pacific
Crest Trail and Appalacian Trail veterans know how to use duct tape for
three month excursions. Carrying the extra weight just isn't warranted.
 I still see postings to this site talking about 58 pound packs. With
more training and judicious planning adults should be carrying no more
than 35 pounds and youth about 30. Just my NTBHO.
