[Philmont]: Colorado or New Mexico?

I've seen some wonderful information on this board regarding
pre-Philmont travel. But how to decide? For those who have gone via both
Colorado Springs and Albuquerque, which do you recommend? It seems
there's much to do and you can get acclimatized either way. We will fly
into one of those cities and are leaning toward getting a package deal
for ground transportation rather than renting our own vehicles. There
will be 24 of us - 16 boys and 8 adults.
