Three days in CHQ? Most arrive on one day, spend one night in CHQ and head
out on the trail the next day. Same thing in referse when you come off the
trail. One night in CHQ adn head for home the next day.

CHQ is set up for that scenario. I just can't see spending three nights in
CHQ upon arrival.

My gosh, what are you bringing with you? Twelve duffle bags?

Remember it isn't a jamboree where you stay in tent city the entire time.

Not to be condescending, but here is what most people do.

Pack and travel on the trail light and pack and travel in route light.

Think LIGHT, practice LIGHT and then bring LIGHT. You will have a much more
enjoyable time if you get into the LIGHT mentality instead of the DUFFLE BAG
and FOOTLOCKER mentality.

Here is what most crews do:

Pack their trail packs with what they will take on the trail and bring these
as checked baggage.

Wear travel clothes, usually dress or "class A" uniforms.

Carry a SMALL - read that as in about one half cubic foot maximun -
lightweight nylon cheap hand carried bag containing:

Travel needs such as toothbrush, soap washcloth, SMALL towel, shaving gear,
change of underware and socke.

When you head out on the trail, put you class A adn travel shoes in the bag
adn put it in the locker.

All twelve bags should fit into one duffle bag, but don't do that. Just
stuff them into the locker.

The less junk you wag along, the less you have to deal with and the more you
will enjoy the trip.

If you bring 12 DUFFLE BAGS of stuff, you might want to stay an extra day (4
days?) to have a day just to deal with all the stuff in the duffle bags.

A LAWN CHAIR for CHQ? The average person doesn't have more than a moment to
sit down in CHQ anyway. But if you want to look like a fish out of water,
well then................OK!
