[Philmont]: 2004 Philmont trek

We sent this same message back in October. It sounds like we might get a better response now. My son and I went to Philmont in 2002 with a crew from our area. We have checked with troops in our area and there are no openings, so we will go nationwide.

We are very experienced backpackers and we are both able to go anytime this summer. Mark is an Eagle Scout and will be 19 years old this month. We are very well equipped and depending on where you are located, we might be able to get in a few shakedowns with the crew. In 2002, we were signed up to take trek 24 but because of the fire, we had to take an alternate. So if any crews who need a couple of adult leaders please email us. We would prefer strenuous or super strenuous, but like I said before beggars can't be choosers.

Yours in Scouting,

Dan and Mark Albert
