"Caution - newbie question approaching...
The mesh bags sound intriguing, but what did you do to protect items that shouldn't get wet?
Ched Hudson"
We had the boys carry one or two extra 1-gallon zip-lock freezer bags to use for their bear bag goodies. This helps keep everyone's individual gear separated and dry, and makes grabbing gear out of the bear bag piles in the morning easier. Have the boys mark their bags with a Sharpie marker. I've also used a small Outdoor Research waterproof stuff sack for bear bag goodies. Tell everyone to plan ahead, looking at what they will be bagging, then plan for that.
