[Philmont]: Train Travel Restrictions

We're traveling from Los Angeles to Raton on Amtrak. We've been told
that knives and fuel bottles (note, these are not full, but have been
used. We might just buy new ones that have no odor if we have to) are
not allowed on the train. How are others dealing with this? Are you
shipping stuff directly to Philmont? Or is there another alternative?
