Unless you're dead set on the Raton area, there are also several
campsites in and around Cimarron. I seem to recall one camp area on
Ponil Creek just on the north side of town. There are also several AIR
between Cimarron and Taos/Eagles Nest/Angel Fire. The New Mexico park
web site may have more information. Since I imagine you will be driving
in from Greensville, you might also consider areas between IH 40 and the
ranch. You can always go home via the "northern route".

Happy Trails,

We camped at Sugarite State Park which is just a few miles from Raton.
Nice campsite, showers etc. You can check it out through the New Mexico
state park website.
