Our deadline was late January, the 30th I think. I was wondering if they
might be staggered based on when you were originally notified. I know we
got our congratulations email a couple of weeks before another troop got
theirs.

Subject: [Philmont]: Deposit money for 2005 treks
Question for those with confirmed treks for 2005. When is/was the payment
deadline for the deposit payment? Just curious. It would seem that shortly
after the payment deadline has passed that wait list openings would occur.
Quite often, crew size drops when it comes time to collecting money, and you
find out who really wanted to go or can afford to go. This, I would guess
is when most troops give up 1 or more of their originally reserved crews.
