John, just so this dummy is clear...

1. If we purchase Philmont fuel unfiltered then filter it into an empty fuel
bottle back at camp, then we should be lugging an extra, empty fuel bottle
on our trek, correct? So if I want 2 bottles of fuel, I need 3, one empty
and two filled with fuel.

2. Also, we're going to pick up new filters for the trek, that means I'll be
purchasing the disposable Colman type. Aprox. how long do the last?

3. If I do happen to run across a yard sale with an old style filter for
sale and lay down my 4 bits, will any replacement felt material work or
should I look for something special?

Thanks
