I would stay if I were you. 2 reasons:
1. For yourself: You do learn things here that are not applicable to
Philmont but work quite well in 3-day treks.
2. For your youth: You will find out about opportunities in other High
Adventure places, Philmont openings, etc.,
Plus it's just fun to sit around with people of widely divergent
experiences and beliefs united in a common dedication to something
bigger than ourselves.
