I figured I could dig around for this, or go right to the font of Philmont
knowledge <g>! Can someone fill me on some of the details of Autumn
Adventure? Specifically, the cost and how late into the fall can you can
go? I am fortunate that I only live a little over 3 hours away from
Philmont and our Venturing Crew is making noise about wanting to go back to
Philmont for a few days.... Go figure <g>?
Also, I had one of my trek'rs from 2002 and 2004 decide last week that he
wants to apply to be Philstaff this year. He mailed his application
yesterday (and I, his recommendation). He REALLY wants to be a ranger, but
my question to the group, do you know if the late receipt of his
application will jeopardize that? I know that Philmont always seems to be
short-handed. When we were at Abreu last year, one of the staff there was
hired mid-season. He went on a Rayado trek and when he came off, he
applied and got hired on the spot. He just called back to Ohio and told
his parents to send him some more of his stuff..... Thanks (in advance)!
