Yes, the Burro story is a myth. I remember asking Bob Rickliffs (ranch
superintendent, in charge of all the animals) about the story and he
said that never happened. Bob has been around for a good 20 years or
so.
The haunting of Urraca Mesa, it depends on who you ask. I don't
believe in that kind of stuff myself. I remember a local telling me
that it was one of the other mesa's in the area that was actually
haunted. In between Urraca being on a Boy Scout camp and the topo map
making it look like a skull, it makes for a good story. But I do know
a number of staff who swear up and down about strange stuff happening
on Urraca.
Probably the most legit weird stuff that happens is at French Henry.
Other camps that have had reported wierd stuff happening are Miranda,
Baldy Town, and Cypher's mine.
