The Air Force Academy and the Flying W Ranch are both great.

You might want to make a visit to the Air Force Academy. I have never been
there but I hear it is worth the effort.

Subject: [Philmont]: pre-philmont activities

I am helping set up some activities to do in and around Colorado Springs
before my crew arrives at Philmont. We have most of the three days locked
up, but there is some time on the second day that is open. I have been
trying to find a rock climbing place. I have heard of one called Camp
Quest, but I can't find it online. Has anyone been there, and if so, can
you tell me 1) where it is in relation to Colorado Springs?, and 2) how much
does it cost to do? Our other activities are: doing the whole Arkansas
River, climbing Pikes Peak, and the Koshare Indian Kiva.

Thanks,

Pete Johnson
